Roles of Planning Commission will now be handled by whom?

As NITI AYOG will replace planning commission, places where planning commission had its role to play, should we write Niti Ayog there or what to do?

The debate of Finance Commission Vs Planning commision is as old as the institutions themselves....So u need to understand the debate, need for planning commission as it was felt so far....how and why they r doing away with it for starters...

As to the roles performed by planning commision....we can only go by what is proposed by govt....Finance commission is constitutional and it works out the share of state governments as independent entities of the federal polity...that is their rightful share in the income .....planning commission u all r aware was extra constl and was delaing with five year plans...but as money dolled out by plng commn became huge in relation to what was shared through Fincom , Fin Com was rendered a little irrelevant... so u must have understanding of all these....

 Qns as to what will happened to 5 yr plans etc r yet to b answered....so as i was saying the roles never overlapped in literal sense...though practically one rendered another week....

now who will play the role of planning commision will have to be answered as and when things become more clear...may be we shud wait for the budget....so if qn is who will do 'x' role...the answer cud be: 1. This role itself doesnt exist anymore2. so far planning comn was doing it...govt is yet to decide etc...
