Constitution Clock:
What is this?
It’s a mnemonic chart that will help you to remember the constitution and its schedules.
How does it work?
It works by connecting the chapters of the constitution, with the normal clock that we are familiar with. The chapters of the constitution are connected to the click hours. As your mind knows the clock well and imagine it anytime, your mind will also remember the chapters and main articles in that!
See this picture:
This is a simple clock face, one for AM and one for PM. Now our brain/mind is well accustomed to the clock face. So, if we connect anything to this, which is likely to stay permanent!
The clock starts with 1am in the morning, and you connect with part 1 of the constitution. Early morning 3 am is FR!! When you get up at 3am, remember that is the time for FR!!
Union comes at 5am, and 6 am is states! This way it’s easy to remember!
Whenever you look for time, either on your watch or wall clock, think of the chapter and the important articles in it! If you forget to remember, then check the book! This way, you will master constitution in just 1 month!
And those who have digital watches, clocks; please change it to analog!
Do this and lets me know if it works!
Example:
Yes, answer key is comprehensive. It wont be a 200 words
answer. Answer key is a comprehensive doc, which will have key words, possible
positions to be taken etc. it will also say how much marks to be given to which
answer- and each paper is copied and corrected by two invigilators separately!!
and then both marks are examined. If the marks vary over a huge range, then its
referred to a third invigilator; and no invigilator will make any marking in
your paper. He/she has to give marks separate in a answer sheet. So, its all
done in a very objective manner

Ideal Answers for UPSC Mains
Sir that answer key
is comprehensive (like keywords, broad SET of answers) or like a template
(exactly within the word limit like 200 words in question, so 200 words in
answer)
Invigilator will have ANSWER KEY!!! The UPSC questions are
prepared with utmost care. Lots of objectivity goes into that.
Sir with reference to
the above illustration will Amar and Dev get equal marks?
Yep!! Both will get full marks!! May be or may not be
equal!! There may be little difference!!
Thats why all questions of mains are carefully selected.
But there must be
some priority indexes in answering points right?
Yes, priority will be there. Like: Flow of the concept. How
original the answer is. How is it supported.
How logically u have argued, are the illustrations are
connected.
Around 50% of mains
questions are from famous books or article or speeches made.
So, they ALL have a clear context and background!! So ,
there exists a clear key!!!
Eg1) Critically analyse: "By and large land reforms in India
enacted so far and those contemplated in the near future, are in the right
direction; and yet due to lack of implementation the actual results are far
from satisfactory".
Came across this statement? know the context? If you have
read it you will knwo the context! This is how questions come in exam!
it is an opinion piece from the PlanCom website with a
multitude of opinions and information.
Sir but, doesn't it
goes against the RAG philosophy? Casting wide net and only seeking as per need?
No i doesnt, land reforms is RED! You are expected to know
all!!
If one has completed
land reforms topic, does it make sense to hunt for opinion pieces like these?
Yes, if its RED!! If you miss the planning commission
document, then you didnt do land reforms at all!!!
Think of the RED questions!!! The 10 imp questions!!! What?
when? how? Etc.
But, then, yes, if you quote all these, you will get IAS
even without interview marks!!! I am telling you the ideal situation!! if you
quote the context and write the answer exactly, you will get 90% marks!!
Now you know why the students get just around 50%?!
Frame correct questions, then it will take you to the
correct source!! Thats why i was telling 100 times, DONT get led by the book
you are reading!!! ask original questions and seek answers!!! If you read the
book and then form questions, your mind is restricted!!! It will act as the
horse whose vision is restricted!!! If you ask questions first, and then try to
find answers, then your mind gets a comprehensive view!!!
Eg2) “The forces in a capitalist
society, if left unchecked, tend to make the rich richer and the poor poorer.”
Comment on this with refernce to post 1991 indian context.
Now, who said this? You will get it when u check on 'crical
view on indian reforms'. Some author would have quoted this, when she/he wrote
crtisciing the reforms!!! Get me??
It may from any source!! we cant cover all by reading them!!
Google helps you to get all at one place!! So, time spent on google is better
than, reading all newspapers!!! When i advised you on newspapers, you were
finding it difficult to leave newspaper!!! LOL!!!
Its common sense that, you should check what imp people have
said on the imp issues of our country! isnt?
Eg3) "No power on earth can stop an idea whose time has
come." How this statement be related to the 1991 economic reforms in
India. Elaborate.
Who said that?
Manmohan singh in
July 1991, delicencing.
Sir this is quite
famous- Victor Hugo
Right!!!
But, elaborate my dear friend! You cant stop with Victor
Hugo!! Who connected victor Hugo and indian reforms??!!
Manmohan singh, in his famous budget speech, 1991!!! its
from his budget speech my friends!!!
He said- “153.Sir, I do not minimise the difficulties that lie ahead on
the long and arduous journey on which we have embarked. But as Victor Hugo once
said, “no power on earth can stop an idea whose time has come.” I suggest to
this august House that the emergence of India as a major economic power in the
world happens to be one such idea. Let the whole world hear it loud and clear.
India is now wide awake. We shall
prevail. We shall overcome. 154.With these words, I commend the budget to this
august House.[24th July, 1991]”
Now, if you say that, you have not read this famous budget
speech, then your notes on 1991 reforms is incomplete my dear friend!!
If you do all that i am saying, you will be the topper or
within first 10 ranks!! So, dont think that if you don't do this, you will not
get thru!! I am talking about the IDEAL answers!!! You can measure where you
stand from this!! These will get you 90% marks for your answers!! And even
above 50% you get interview calls!! So, dont lose heart!!

Regarding rituals and
routines for RAG mock tests
One suggestion for all. We will write mains continuously
Morning 3 hours and afternoon 3 hours. Same process for 2 days for four gs
papers. Then without any gap you will have optional exam. Then essay writing
and language paper. So literally for a week you will keep on writing writing
and writing only. Hands will be swollen by the time you complete writing mains
exam. So take this mock very seriously exactly as exact timings. Some people
take comfortable breaks in between. Its does not serve the purpose. So stick to
the timings . Start and stop writing exactly as mains exams only.
Dedicate complete three hours write it without turning
anywhere else. sit at 9.30 in the morning with a formal attire that you will
wear for exams with all stationery items ready for exams. keep a watch with
you. split the time for each question. follow the timeline and complete the
paper first. completing the paper is the topmost required condition to clear
this exam. Then have lunch. revise in the remaining time. keep the papers with
margins ready. and start writing in the afternoon in the stipulated time.
STOP writing exactly after 3 hours. dont touch any book or
internet during exams. try it tomorrow. all the very best.
After seeing today's reluctance to write mocks, we would say
dont hesitate to write. whatever kiddish answer you are getting right now dont
hesitate. write it. get practised . then only you will understand that there is
no relation between the quantity we study and the exam we give. whatever we
study, we need two pages of quality answer for any question. how to condense
the content from the ocean of materials we studied?? that we get only by
writing practice. so keep on writing and start enjoying it. good night all:):)
I find it very interesting but its confusing for me. I will try to have this kind of project for I know this will be very useful to manage time and sort of things. This constitution clock is just like cv writing, both requires time to manage.
