How Fundamental Right promote Political Democracy while DPSP Social & Economic Democracy?

Question 1-> We have Fundamental Rights on Religion, equality, education etc as well, so how come only political democracy and not social and economic democracy as well?
Ok, the three spheres that envelope our lives are:
1.       Economics: how we eat, how we convert the sacre resources into produce that we consume and survive!
2. Social: How we choose to continue our genetical chain!
3. Political: How we organise ourselves, to ensure that, we get the best in the first two.
Right? is that clear?
So, its clear that, if the politcial system is not stable and optimal, it will distort both the economical and social systems!
Political system is like the right amount of light for the plant! The economic system is like the nutrients getting converted to food. So, politcial rights are vital!!
And both economical and social rights are very difficult to deliver.
Economics is so complex and interwined with the world economcis, unless one has complete control over the resources, its not possible to promise economic democracy!!!
And social democracy is something that evolves over time! With diverse race, linguistic, religious groups in India, social democracy is can't be delivered! Thas why only political democracy has been given as fundamental right! ðŸ˜Š
Any supplementary questions guys?
Mani Sir, but when we have the right to promote our religion, right against discrimination, aren't we promoting social democracy as well through FR?
Vishu, you are right! We do want 'law' to treat all equal! But, can we force individual to treat each other equal? For example can you force one community not to exclude other commnunity in marriage? We can't!
Thats why we have no 'democracy' in social system! We only have ensured that 'law' of the land treats them as equal!
Isn't capitalism economic democracy sir?
No, capitalism won't be economic democracy, as it doenst ensure the resources reach everybody!
Economic democracy would require the resources to be distributed to everybody!

Ensuring resources reach everyody is communism, that makes economic democracy a paradox
yes!!

And vishu, dont confuse this with the phrase 'social democracy' of the west!! ðŸ˜Š
That is like 'socialistic democracy'!!
So, the constitution has made the FRs that can be implemented!!
It could not even ensure compulsory work and wages! Economic democracy is a long dream!!
Same with social democracy! When it is still working on 'untouchability', social democracy is a long way!
Thats why the constitution did not make them as FRs. Political right is easy to give! votes! Universal adult franchise and right to contest!! Given!!

Sir, can we define social democracy as treating everybody equally?
But, yes, without the economic and social freedom, the the fruits of political freedom doesnt reach all!

Can we say social and economic democracy an utopian concept? as these are something that cannot be achieved in reality
Yes, everybody  treating everybody equal! The last day of caste system! When you will see the matrimonial just asking for brides and grooms, and not divided on castes! ðŸ˜Š

Vishruth, we should always avoid taking extreme stand in UPSC. They are looking for a guy, who knows the reality, and who wants to move towards a better, ideal system, but not the one who is not optimistic!! Got the answer?!

Q: sir can we say that in our constitutions the articles related to equality is some how an approach towards to get social democracy
yes, article on equality is towards ensuring that the society remembers that all are equal!!
Its the foundation for all types of democracies!!!

Yes, jayanti. Only enforceable approach
similarly the grants and aids provided by government is to ensure for further strengthning it?
all the actions of the govt are to ensure equality in all spheres

Question 2-> We have DPSP related to organization of Panchayats, so don't they promote political democracy as well?" Vishu Kartik 178

·         DPSP are non justifiable rights but it is duty of the state to apply them during governance. So DPSP do promote political democracy as well when they mentioned panchayats.   Panchayat raj system has assumed lot of importance as of today. Because of receiving of funds,      elections at that level where participation of all sections at the fundamental level
·         Panchayat raj system has assumed lot of importance as of today. Because of receiving of funds, elections at that level where participation of all sections at the fundamental level
·         Delegation of powers to panchayats in economic devt, social justice delivery etc..has made it further necessary
·         Vishrut, that's where governance steps in..in making laws to enable concepts like that to become true
·         As a corollary, dpsp are such principles.. This is the basis of your judgment in all the answers. Remember
·         Just to add, panchayat raj, was in dpsp, and then it is brought into fruition in 90s..this again shows the required maturity of the institutions..

·         As was mentioned earlier, first political, then devolution..
·         This is a proven principle of governance.

Any questions?
