“Role of Industrial and Manufacturing Policies in Social Development”

“Role of Industrial and Manufacturing Policies in Social Development”. I could not go beyond the National skill Development Authority and some other policies such as Mineral policy, SEZ development etc. Finding it difficult to link from the social development perspective. Can you please give some idea about how to go about this topic?

Impact of industries goes through various sectors in terms of employment through organises / unorganized sectors. Then the increase of status of the workforce. Their purchase power, capability. We should relate Human Development Index with the growth of industries .
First of all analyse wats the relationship between industries and social development!
1) India is having a demographic divident, where young human resources have to be employed if we wanna tap that potential.
2) agriculture is giving 60% of employment, but giving only 15% of gdp.
So what's actually happening in our country is under employment and disguised employment!
How to solve these problems?
Agriculture could not give that much employment opportunities and even the service sector has limited potential since it demands skilled lwbours only.
Social development is through education, income and living style - going to basic needs physical needs psychological needs etc.
Agriculture field is not implemented with technological outfit..
Employment opportunity is there but no regular income.. So diversification from agri field
With the growth of IT industry. - the software people, are rhe prime... their transportation their food medical/ healthcare needs insurance / financial needs all other services required for.those software engineers create a different Eco system which results in the development of the area, people society.
So for a huge scale like in India, only manufacturing sector can provide this much huge employment opportunity.
And employment is a social problem.
And any nation cant rise without giving proper employment opportunities to its citizen.
This is exactly the reason why BIMARU states plus chattisgarh a and jharkhand is not developing upto the expectations.
India has a 70-30 rural urban divide .. these efforts of industrialization will surely bring a change in the social status of this population. So its highly necessary to bring a strong industrial and manufacturing policy.
So, learn the old and new manufacturing policies and also the industries policy.
Then in everyday newspapers you see many schemes to boost up this secondary sectors. Like skill development, textile policy, mineral policy etc etc.. You keep on adding points.
Don't try to search the answer in a single day.
Have a basic idea and note down important points.
Then everyday from current affairs u have to improve this answer.
