Mc Mohan line and claim of china

Claim of China: not recognising the 1914 treaty delineating the border between Tibet and India. Known as the McMohan line
They claim that Tibet upto tawang monastery is theirs since 12 th century.
But Tibet also existed as an independent country in late 19 c. British had a tripartite Simla agreement in 1914 wanted to settle the issue. Chinese representative reportedly withdrew. After being a Union territory, Arunachal Pradesh became a full state in 1987 (24th). The delineation has been based on geographical features.
It is a question of territorial integrity, accepted treaties and physical contiguity and population centres.
Negotiations are on between the two countries to work out a resolution of the issue.
Why China is rejecting 1914 agreement? is it because Tibet was not independent at the time of agreement. Or does it see any strategic importance now?
China does not recognise Simla Agreement. N it wants a exchange deal in return it ll settle disputes in western border. Wat is Indias stand on it
They go by historical possession of the territory according to their own sources
The negotiations are on and different media versions are floating around. We should await the final settlement of the issue by the official channels
Based on universal principles. Countries around South China Sea stake their claims based on global commons and UN principles. Whereas Chinese claims are based on their historical
