Science and tech: I have read recently that India doesn't share our DNA samples to other countries for research.i cant guess why?

DNA is a genetic resource. With 'biodiversity' and 'genes' becoming a resource, it is amenable to exploitation. Some of the patenting is done based on DNA fingerprints too.
Why arent you allowed animal trading? What is the magic of 'darjeeling tea'? What is unique selling point of 'basmati' rice?
Sir, Aroma due to particular geographical factors
Sir, its like a patent we own!!
Yes, with the level of improvement in bio technology the value of strains / genes / DNA have grown multifolds.
Sir, so all the countries take the same stand?
I am not sure about our country's stand and where you got that info but yes no country wants to share its gene pool easily. Difficult to fathom how one can control it though with all the emigration.
