System of Rice Intensification program

Methane gas is emitted from the paddy fields which is one of the greenhouse gas. Will the System of Rice Intensification program make any impact on global warming?

Presently it is still an expanding method of cultivation.
It seems a way forward and way to solve some of the problems.
We face in traditional cultivation methods..
Through the basic steps involved in this method, it can be concluded that it would release less carbon dioxide into the environment
Thus global warming is affected.
When younger seedlings are spaced singly
Hand weeded
The fields are kept just moist not over saturated as we usually see,
This has two effects..more aerobic organisms develop in place of anerobic ones thus reducing co2.

Proper root growth and canopy..thus proper photosynthesis for all the leaves..so less co2
